SWAT! Office Hours and On-Call Service Now Available!

There are times when the IRB application and review process can become confusing and time-consuming. In an effort to make this process more transparent and efficient, HRPO is happy to announce two new resources for the research community staffed by our new HRPO “SWAT!” Team (Staff With Answers Today!)

First, the HRPO office now has a dedicated staff member on-call and ready to answer your questions between 8 and 4:30 daily. Just call our main office line at 314.633.7400 and ask for the SWAT! On-call person. The on-call staff member will be able to help investigators, administrative staff, and students with questions about any issue related to IRB review.

A second resource is available in the Farrell Teaching and Learning Center, Room 602. On Tuesdays 1-4 pm and Fridays 8-11 am, the HRPO SWAT Team offers in-person consultation on myIRB submissions and education about the IRB process to anyone that could use a little extra help. There are computers available so that we can even look through applications or contingencies together on the spot. Note: An alternate location will be used on Dec 31 and Feb 3 through Apr 17.

Whether you are currently in the middle of an IRB application or just thinking about planning your next project and want to know how if there are any IRB issues to keep in mind, please take advantage of either of these new resources.
