Reviewers

On behalf of the Human Research Protection Office, Washington University investigators, and their patients, thank you for volunteering to be a reviewer. Your time and effort helps the Human Research Protection Office (HRPO) ensure the safety of patients enrolled in clinical trials.

Your task as a reviewer is to affirm the ethical nature and safety of the studies you are given to review. It is also to ensure that valuable information can and will be obtained from the experiment, in reasonable balance to participant risk. In doing so, you will be protecting the autonomy of research participants, ensuring a balance of benefits and harms, and ensuring that those benefits and harms are fairly distributed.
