About Human Subjects Training

Central to Washington University's mission of fostering excellence in research is a commitment to ensuring that all individuals responsible for the design, conduct and reporting of a research study involving human subjects receive adequate education in the protection of those human subjects.

What are the training requirements?  The Human Research Education Policy defines the educational requirements for the conduct of human subject research at Washington University.  For more information about the policy click here.

What is CITI?  CITI is a web based human research protections training program created by the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative. Individuals affiliated with Washington University can access the program through RAS (Research Administration System) to complete their Human Subjects training.
